  • 3 Ways to Practice Gratitude

    1. Notice good things, look for them, and appreciate them.

      • Nature. People. Community. Shelter. Creature comforts like a warm bed or a good meal. It's amazing what you notice when you focus on feeling grateful.

    2. Savor, absorb, and pay attention to those good things.

    3. Express your gratitude to yourself, write it down, or thank someone.

  • What is Gratitude, and Why Is It So Important?

    • Two Stages of Gratitude

      • First comes the acknowledgment of goodness in one’s life. In a state of gratitude, we say yes to life.

      • Second, gratitude is recognizing that some of the sources of this goodness lie outside the self. One can be grateful to other people, animals, and the world.

"Gratitude keeps me centered and focused on what's important in life."
