Place your top teeth on your bottom lip. Your top teeth should be showing. The air is pushed out of your mouth between the top teeth and your bottom lip.

'F' is an unvoiced sound. That means you do not use the vocal cords. Instead, they're slack, allowing air to flow.

'F' is also a continuous sound. That means you can continue the 'F' sound (flow of air) without changing the sound.

How to pronounce the F sound.

Place your top and bottom lips together. Build up some pressure in your mouth, then release it, followed by a short puff of air.

'P' is an unvoiced sound. That means you do not use the vocal cords. Instead, they're slack, allowing air to flow.

'P' is also a stop sound. That means the sound is short and should not be extended.

How to pronounce the P sound.

"It may be helpful to bite your bottom lip when pronouncing the 'F' sound."
