21 Those people really knew about God. But they did not respect him as a great God, and they did not thank him. They did not even think clearly any more. Their minds became confused and they did not understand God's message.

22 They said that they were wise, but really they became fools.

23 They refused to worship the great God who can never die. Instead, they made false gods for themselves. They worshipped idols that were like people who must die. They also made idols that looked like birds, animals and snakes, and they worshipped them.

24 So God let those people do all the bad things that they wanted to do. God let those disgusting things rule their lives. As a result, they did bad things with each other's bodies. They did things that people should be ashamed to do. 25 They refused to believe the true things about God. Instead, they chose to believe lies. They worshipped things that God has made and they became servants of those things. But they refused to worship God himself who made those things! Everyone should praise him for ever! Amen. This is true.

"The Lord takes care of his people!"

3 He caused you to become hungry and then he fed you with manna. Neither you nor your ancestors had ever seen this food before. In this way, he taught you that food alone cannot cause people to live. They need to hear every word that the Lord speaks. That is what gives them true life.

Understanding the Principles of God's Kingdom pt 3
(Deuteronomy 6:1-9)

Senior Pastor, Mathew Toller
"Love the Lord your God!"

1 These are the commands, rules and laws that the Lord your God gave to me. He told me to teach them to you. You must obey them when you go across the Jordan River to live in that land.

2 You must respect the Lord your God with fear. You must obey his rules and his commands that I am teaching you. You, your children and your grandchildren must obey them all through your lives. If you do that, you will enjoy a long life.

3 Listen, Israelites! Be careful to obey God's rules. If you do that, everything will be well for you. You will have many children. You will live in a land where there is plenty of food and drink, enough for everyone. The Lord, the God of your ancestors, promised that this will happen.

4 Listen, Israelites! The Lord alone is our God. There is no other true God.

5 Love the Lord your God with all your mind and with all your strength. Love him with all that you are.

6 Always think about these commands that I am giving you today.

7 Teach them to your children at all times. Talk about them when you sit together at home. Talk about them as you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.

8 Tie them as signs on your arms and on your heads, so that you remember them.

9 Write them on the wood beside the doors of your houses and on your gates."

Understanding the Principles of God's Kingdom pt.2
(Proverbs 3:13-18)

Senior Pastor, Mathew Toller
"Wisdom is a blessing!"

13 Anyone who finds wisdom is in a happy place! So is the person who has learned to understand things.

14 Wisdom helps people better than silver or gold will ever help them.

15 Wisdom is more valuable than the most expensive jewels. Nothing that you might want for yourself is as good as wisdom.

16 Wisdom is ready to give you a long life. She will also give you riches and honour.

17 Wisdom will be your guide through a happy life. She will lead you in ways that keep you safe.

18 Wisdom is like a tree with fruits that give life to the people who pick them. The Lord blesses everyone who keeps hold of wisdom.

Understanding the Principles of God's Kingdom pt.1
(Luke 10:25-28)

Senior Pastor, Mathew Toller
"A story about a good man from Samaria."

25 A teacher of God's Law stood up. He wanted to see how Jesus would answer his question. So he asked Jesus, ‘Teacher, what must I do so that I can live with God for ever?’

26 ‘What does God's Law say?’ Jesus asked. ‘What do you understand when you read it?’

27 The man replied, ‘It says that we must love the Lord our God with all our mind and with all our strength. We must love him with all that we are and in all that we think. It also says that we must love other people as much as we love ourselves.’

28 ‘You have told me the right answer,’ Jesus said. ‘If you do this, you will have true life with God.’

Salvation is of the Lord
(Jonah 2:7-10)

Guest speaker, Mathew Toller
"Jonah's prayer."

7 When my life was nearly gone, I prayed to you, Lord. In your holy temple, you heard my prayer for help.

8 Idols cannot help. People who worship them have turned away from a faithful God.

9 But as for me, I will sing to thank you. I will offer a sacrifice to you. I will do everything that I have promised to do. The Lord is the one who saves people!’

10 Then the Lord told the great fish to spit Jonah out from its stomach. So it dropped Jonah onto the shore.
